CUSTODIANCandidate must have skill and knowledge in operating various floor care equipment, building maintenance and performing daily cleaning tasks.  Requires: High School Diploma/GED preferred; 2 years previous experience; valid drivers license that must clear motor vehicle records and have access to reliable transportation.

EARLY HEAD START PROGRAM MANAGER – Responsible for all supervisory aspects of the Early Head Start (EHS) Program’s operations and  staff.  EHS Manager will routinely evaluate the work performance of infant- toddler staff and Family Advocates.  Manager will be in charge of coordinating and monitoring the operations of program’s curriculums, center and home-based activities.  Requires:  B.S./B.A in Child Development; Early Childhood Education or related field with 5 yrs. experience in implementation of education programs for preschool age children, with  3 yrs. at a supervisory level.  Previous Head Start experience and Infant-Toddler Child Development Associate Credential a plus.  All DCF related hours obtained within the first 90 days of employment along with a Director’s credential.  Must have access to reliable transportation.

EDUCATION SUPERVISOR – Responsible for day-to-day supervision, monitoring and evaluation of the school readiness  educational services at assigned Head Start sites.  This includes implementation of interdisciplinary educational program to increase the cognitive, emotional and social competency of Head Start children ages 3-5.  Position requires training and experience in theories and principles of early childhood development.  Must have excellent oral and written skills;  minimum of two years Head Start experience preferred; 3 years demonstrated supervisory experience; B.S./B.A. in Early Childhood Education or related field  required.  Must have DCF 40 hours; and access to reliable transportation.

FAMILY DEVELOPMENT LIAISON -  Job duties will be to partner with Head Start Families offering opportunities to identify, initiate & accomplish goals, from time of recruitment through transition out of the program.  Requires: B.S./B.A. in Social Service/Science; familiarity with community resources for the economically disadvantaged; case management theory & application knowledge; crisis intervention & emergency needs practices including appropriate referral agencies; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks & clients; must be computer literate Child Plus preferred. Reliable transportation required.       

FOOD SERVICE VAN DRIVER– Responsible for transporting food from central Head Start kitchens to Head Start centers as assigned.  Duties will consist of a split day with 4-6 hours as a driver and 2-4 hours doing food service worker duties.  Requires:  H.S. Diploma/GED with two years vehicle operation experience; a valid Florida Driver License with a clear motor vehicle record.

INFANT TODDLER INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT AIDE:  Responsible for assisting the Infant Toddler Specialist in providing a developmentally  appropriate  learning environment which supports early growth and development across domains.  Will assist with development of weekly lesson plans; identifying associated materials for each week’s lesson plans; record performance  for each child.  Requires:  H.S. diploma/GED; DCF 40 hours related to child care (birth to 5 yrs.); First Aide & CPR; 6 months experience working in a center based setting with young children; demonstrate satisfactory oral and written communication skills;  have access to reliable transportation. 

INFANT TODDLER SPECIALIST – Responsible for the nurturing and providing developmentally appropriate education for children ages 0 to 3; build relationships with the child and their family members; provide daily evaluation of the child’s operation in the cognitive skill area along with social and emotional development.  Requires:  B.S./B.A. in Early Childhood Education; Child Development or related field; 3 + years experience working with infants and toddlers.  All DCF Child Care hours must be secured within 90 days of employment. Infant-Toddler Child Development Associate Credential is preferred or must be obtained within 1 year of employment.   Must have access to reliable transportation. 

LEAD TEACHER-  Responsible for planning, instructing and involving children in developmentally appropriate activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth in a pre-school setting with the goal of school readiness.   Develop strategies to promote and support each child’s learning and developmental progress based on observations, on-going assessments and Head Start outcomes (i.e., literacy, numbers, etc.).  Provide a variety of educational opportunities for parents to maximize their role as primary educator of their children. Document & record children’s progress in cumulative folders and responsible for the management of such records.  Responsible for the accuracy of the Galileo record findings and compiling of data prior to submission to the Education Supervisor. Required to open, close and secure your center.  Supervise teacher assistants, classroom substitutes. and oversee food service workers where applicable.  Qualifications:  Associate Degree in Early Childhood  Education or related field; Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood or Child Development  preferred( or  have by 2013);  Department of Children and  Families  (DCF) Director’s Credential; two years demonstrated experience in teaching children three to five years old in a center-base environment; DCF  40 hours; ability to speak/write/read Spanish, a plus.  Must have professional appearance, pleasant personality and have access to reliable transportation.

MANAGER OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:  Responsible for providing support to the agency’s network system, which includes planning, developing, installation and configuration of an optimal agency network system that supports all executive and programmatic operations. Knowledgeable of Social Media and Marketing Software Programs for promotional purposes. Experience with network hardware, software, communication links, including web-based systems. Ability to troubleshoot agency network system on a daily basis and recommend corrective action. Requires: B.S. in Computer Science and/or five year’s experience. Must have Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certification, networking knowledge, including troubleshooting, hardware configuration and performance tuning. Ability to work and collaborate with all agency staff. Strong analytical skills to assist in developing new agency initiatives, including training. Extensive experience in Windows 2003, plus servers, server migration, active directory, SharePoint Services and Exchange 2007. Must be able to lift 15lbs. and have reliable transportation.

NUTRITION SUPERVISOR– Responsible for the management of Nutrition Department to enhance the development of preschool age children; supervision of Senior Food Service Editor and Food Service kitchen staff. Ability to work with food service vendors. Ensure completion of nutritional screenings/assessments, food substitution/allergy care for special diet children. Requires: BS in Nutrition and or related field; Licensed Dietician preferred, but not required; knowledgeable of USDA/CACFP Regulations, Compliance Mandates, along w/USDA menu planning for preschool age children; computer literate; and ServSafe Certification. Good communication skills and the ability to interact with CACFP Program Specialists. Excellent communication skills. Must have access to reliable transportation.

PART TIME BUS DRIVERS –  Two years previous experience driving school buses is required.  Must have a valid Florida CDL Class B driver’s license and appropriate P & S (passenger & school bus) endorsements.   Have access to reliable transportation.  License must be cleared through department of motor vehicle records. 

TEACHER-  Responsible for planning and developing a comprehensive lesson plans which reflects the revised Head Start Performance Standards coordinating in-service training with education supervisor; monitor all activities to insure that the environment is safe and conducive for the learning experience of preschool children.  Promote active participation for parents to serve as classroom volunteers; responsible for accurate and legible record keeping in relation to the children in the classrooms and classroom or center level in-kind donations. Responsible for at least three home visits on assigned children; attending workshops, training sessions, college classes and other formal educational opportunities in order to upgrade job skills and improve daily performance.  Supervise evaluation of teacher assistants.  Qualifications: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development; Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred; three years experience working with pre-school children in a classroom setting a plus;  all the Department of Children & Families (DCF0 40 hours  must be gotten within one year of employment; ability to speak/write/read Spanish, a plus.  Must have professional appearance, pleasant personality and have access to reliable transportation.

TEACHER ASSISTANT – EXTENDED DAY – Assist in reinforcing concepts taught during the day via lesson plans and activities. Perform duties of a bus monitor. Serve snack and prepare children for departure. Prepare lesson plans during Summer program.  Requires: H.S. Diploma/GED; experience  working with pre-schoolers in classroom setting.  CDA preferred.  Department of Children & Families  40  hours,  Hours: 1:30-7:30p.m. M-F.
